  1. In italian it actually makes sense! It is called "modalità provvisoria" and can be translated to "temporary mode", so it better explains how and when to use it – just to test if the main components work or to repair the OS, not because it's "safe"

  2. Haha some viruses actually disable safe mode. I have a laptop, got the nastiest virus on it, had to reinstall Windows on a different partition but hey, still got to keep all my data. I also got two copies of Windows 7 on it now. Granted one is busted and boots to something that is completely broken and won't even allow me to access desktop and safe mode just causes computer to reboot
