There are certain habits that the fittest athletes in the world put into their daily morning fitness routines. This video shows you one of them! One of the biggest enemies to your productivity in the gym or at work is dehydration. Unfortunately, most of us walk around chronically dehydrated every day…and it starts in the morning!

When you wake up, you are likely to be dehydrated by virtue of the fact that you have not had anything to drink in at least 8 hours. You wouldn’t do this during the normal course of the day, however you have no choice based on the fact that you are sleeping. Well, the easiest way to reverse the negatives that come along with this is to adopt a morning fitness routine that includes drinking 16 ounces of water the minute you get up.

This will allow you to attack your daily workout plan and day by day workouts with much more energy than you would have otherwise. If you start your day with coffee, you only further dehydrate yourself which leads to a decline in mental function and muscle strength and power.

For a day by day workout and fitness plans to be effective, you have to be sure that you have the energy to perform them at a high level. Any fitness routine will suffer if you don’t plan on including a hydration approach that keeps you adequately hydrated throughout the day.

Start your morning fitness routine by keeping an 8 or 10 ounce glass next to your bathroom sink. Drink two ice cold glasses of water upon waking and then keep up the pace throughout the rest of your day. You should ultimately aim to get at least 80-100 ounces of water in a day. If you ignore this golden opportunity to get a jump start on your water intake, you could be playing catch up the rest of the day.

    People with ulcers are told this advice, a glass of cold water first thing in the morning.
